Shop Hop - Treasure Hunt Scrapaganza
 
Dig up your beads, pirate hats and eye patches!  Pink Pineapple along with 37 other scrapbook stores is hosting a treasure hunt for the 2nd Annual So Cal Shop Hop! Each store will host a treasure hunt with scrapbook-booty to find and scrapbook-booty to win. Please see individual stores for details of their treasure hunt.  If you find a treasure at a store, you will be allowed at checkout to draw a prize from the store's Treasure Box.  No purchase necessary to win a prize or get your passport stamped.  However, as an added bonus, for each $20 you spend you will be allowed an additional draw into the "Big" Treasure Box. Each store participating in the Shop Hop is giving a discount of 15% off your entire order, or 20% off if you have your 2008 Shop Hop Tote.  The Shop Hop will run from Friday, August 8th through Sunday, August 24th, 2008.  Have your Passport stamped at each store that you visit.  Passport owner must be present to receive stamp from the store. Once you have completed your Shop Hop, take your Passport back to Pink Pineapple Scrapbooks (if that is where you purchased it) by the close of business on Wednesday, August 27, 2008. The store will verify your name, contact information and how many stores you visited and then detach the Contest Entry Form for you to be eligible to win. It is that simple! Grand Prize Drawings will be held on or before September 3, 2008. Winners will be notified by phone and announced on the website www.socalshophop.com.   Pink Pineapple will draw one winner from the passports purchased at our store, that person will win a $50 gift certificate to Pink Pineapple.

Pink Pineapple “Tour de Crop” Bus Tour
Saturday October 18th 9am start time
Jump on the “Pink” bus with our fabulous and funny hostess Erin P. You will be buffed out all day with deep discounts, make & takes (actual sit down & not progressive, 3 different and unique make & takes), continental breakfast which will include fruit, muffins, bagels, coffee & juice, lunch at one of our fabulous store stops, snacks, raffle prizes, goodie bags at each store, discounts and of course a day with amazing women. We will travel to two fun stores, The Scrapbook Garden in Huntington Beach, and Scrap-n-Yap in Monrovia.  Start thinking Halloween because you know there will be a prize for the best Costume! Book Club: Thursday, Aug. 7th 6:30-8:30pm.  Elena Etcheverry from Scrapbook Royalty hosts this event. We are in the third meeting of “Recipe Box” by Elsie Flannigan.  We look forward to sharing our projects from the last club meeting and chatting about what is new and upcoming in the scrapbook world.  The Club fee includes the current book, a monthly kit, a monthly make n’ take, a private crop, a 20% savings on Book Club meeting night and a heck of a lot of fun. Chatterbox Tree Album “Our Story”: Saturday 8/2.  10am-1pm.  $29. 
Carrie E.  Have any whimsical pictures that are waiting for the perfect scrapbook?  Well, this mini book is just what you’ve been waiting for.  We will use the Chatterbox Botanico Mini Album Kit that comes decorated with a beautiful tree on the outside cover, adorable nature chipboard pieces, ribbons and lots of goodies I added.  There will be stamping with the new Stampology Love Grows tree stamps, doodling, working with colored pencils and sewing. 

Card Exchange: Saturday 8/2.  1:30pm. FREE to participants. 
The theme of this card exchange is a variety again, this month our choices are Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Baby.  There are only 3 spots left, so call to put your name on the list and choose your theme.  We only allow 20 card makers, because making 20 cards is a lot of work (and fun)!!  Don’t forget to include envelopes with all your cards.

Mom & Me Monday’s:
Moms bring your children to our store every Monday for a small craft project you can do together.  You will pick up the kit at the counter, and can either make it in our crop area, or take it home with you.  Most of the crafts will be geared for kids aged 3&up.  The craft will have a small fee usually between $1 & $4.  There will be a sample of the project in our crop room but we will not have an instructor.  The craft will change each Monday and will be first come first serve.

Happy Vacation: Tuesday, 8/5. 4:30pm $42.
Ally S. Teresa Collins brought her amazing style of scrapbooking and put out a great travel line.  Ally took her own style, along with Teresa’s great papers and created a mini-album that is fantastic!  This book is the perfect place to display all your favorite travel pictures.

Crazy’s Tips, Tricks & Techniques: Wednesday 8/6.  6:30pm. $18. 
Rachel B.  Have you ever asked, “How do you do that?” or “Is there a better way to do that?”  Have you taken a beginning scrapbook class and are ready for the next step?  Well then this class is for you!  In this techniques class, you will learn how to work with ink, paints, alcohol inks, ribbons, flocking, foils and embossing.  

Shop Hop Kick-Off Party: Friday 8/8 5:00pm-6:00pm. 
If you purchase a passport from Pink Pineapple Scrapbooks it will entitle you to join us for a Shop Hop Kick-Off party.  We will be serving drinks, light appetizers, posting car pool sign-up sheets, and maps to each Shop Hop Location.  We are also inviting you to stay and crop that night for FREE!

Center of Attention All Boy Acrylic Board: Sunday 8/10.  12:30pm-3:30pm.  $30. 
Heather Barker.  Let’s create a photo collage of the important boy(s) in our lives with the Center of Attention-All Boy Acrylic Board.  We will be using so many different textures including a CD case holder, stamps, ribbon, buttons, flowers, Heidi Swapp ghost shapes, starfish, Stickles and so much more.  The finished product can be hung with beautiful ribbons on the wall or placed on an easel for display.

Kid’s Camp: Tuesday & Wednesday, August 12th & 13th 10am-noon $30. 
Back by popular demand, we are hosting another kids’ camp before the kiddos head off to school.  The kids will complete a 4x6 SEI Preservation Album with a “summertime” theme.  They will do other projects as time permits. 

Easy-Peasy Layouts Graduation Theme: Monday 8/12.  6:30pm. $15. 
Erin P. Do you love to do fast and easy layouts with lots of fun embellishments?  This month's theme is graduation, and we will be using lots of fun things from basic grey, Bazzill and doodlebug, as well as lots of glitter.  This is a great class for anyone who is interested in learning a few new techniques, and also fun for anyone who has graduation pictures.  We will be making custom titles for this class, so I will have the Cricut die cut machine at this class, so no matter when you graduated we will have the perfect title for your layout!

Handmade Greeting Card Class: Thursday 8/14.  6:30pm. $22. 
Heather Brown.  Come and join me in a fun filled class making handmade cards.  You will come and make 4 amazing, texture filled cards with matching envelopes using all the latest designer paper, embellishments and stamped images.  All your supplies will be pre-cut for easy assembly.  You will walk away with great techniques and ideas on how to create your own handmade cards.  The feeling you will get when you give your loved ones your own special handmade card will be fabulous. 

Donna Salazar: Saturday, August 16th 1:00pm.  Cost $35.
We have the talented and fabulous Prima designer, Donna Salazar teaching a mini-book using the Prima Paintables and a card as an added bonus!  We are so excited to have her FINALLY come teach here at Pink Pineapple!  Donna is a Design Team member for Avery Personal Creations and the Design Team Leader for The Red Bee in Tustin.  She was a cast member & Designer for Scrapbooks Etc. Magazine's daily inter-net show, Scrapbook Lifestyle, seasons one through three.  She is a Design Team member for C&T Publishing and she was a Design Team member for the online scrapbook store Freckle Friends. Art Journaling 101: Sunday 8/17.  12pm-5pm.  $25. 
Terri K.  Have you ever wanted to document your everyday life but don’t know where to begin?  Have you ever wanted to start an art journal?  In this class you will make a journal that can be used as a scrapbook, art journal or diary.  The book makes a great gift.  The majority of class time will be devoted to making your journal.  At the end of class I will show you a couple of quick ways to get your pages started.  No more excuses for being afraid of a blank page. 

Top 10 Reasons I love Summer: Tuesday 8/19.  6pm-10pm.  $42. 
Kristie Steffens.  Create this mini acrylic book and capture your top 10 reasons why you love summer! From sleeping in to sweet treats, pool parties and fresh pedicures, this album is sure to remind you of all those fun summer memories.  We will combine the juicy colors of Prima and Teresa Collins’ papers. 

Michelle Hill Free Workshop: Wednesday 8/20. 6pm

End Of Summer BBQ Crop: Saturday, 8/23
Join us as we crop all day from 9am to 9pm, and BBQ too!  Last year’s BBQ was very popular so sign up fast!  We will serve BBQ style food (right off our own BBQ out back), drinks, and snacks and have fun raffle prizes.  Cost is $20.

Fast & Fun Layouts: Monday 8/25.  11 am. $15. 
Michelle R.  This fast and fun layout is OWLishly clever!  Bring 5 4x6 portrait and landscape photos of your goofy and silly times with friends and family.  The warm colors of the Prima and Bazzill papers are accented with blue and red.  You will learn how to cut out those patterned papers to your advantage. 

Beginner's Luck Layout Class: Tuesday 8/26. 6:30pm. $20.
Erin P. If you have been itching to start scrapbooking but just aren’t sure where to begin, or if you want to learn a lot of techniques, then come to this class.  The class will begin with a basic layout from which you can change and embellish as you wish depending on your photos.  Techniques covered include: design, inking, ribbon work, crystal lacquer, punched, organization, how to use many different tools, stamping, how to use brads and eyelets, buttons, Stickles, Cricut, and journaling.

Favorite Jams: Saturday, August 30th 10am to 1pm $37
Candice McLean Music and lyrics have such an impact on our lives. Certain songs linger with you forever and sometimes evoke strong emotions that can be joyous, overwhelming and even haunting. In addition, music has the power to inspire. I draw so much of my inspiration from music - the rifts, the melodies and the lyrics. With that in mind, I designed a little album that showcases my favorite jams. I used my favorite Maya Road Album - the 5 ring tabbed chipboard album; and along with it, I used the beautiful Kaiser papers - Grunge and To Have & Hold. We'll play with some acrylics, glimmer mist and ink so come dressed to play!
